Biomedical Services is offering this camp to rising 8-12 grade students.  During this 1/2 (x3) day camp, students will investigate how pathogens are identified as the causative agent of an epidemic.

This camp will include activities that develop lab skills such as DNA extraction (removing DNA from cells),  ELISA (using antibodies to ID a pathogen), and Gel Electrophoresis (you have heard of DNA Fingerprinting!). The scientific method will be stressed.
Very lab intensive!  Back to back fun!
